Sis's cakes: I'm usually in some other part of the world during my Sister's birthdays, but since she's awesome (and sews stuff for me like this amazing coat) I figured I owe her at least one cake a year. and I visit Poland around her Nameday that falls in January... (not that I need any excuse to bake!) anyway, she usually has some cool request to challenge me and since my family loves any kind of cake I don't hesitate to use them as lab rats
2012: few days before her Nameday we walked into some supermarket and as soon as she saw blue jelly on one of the selves she pointed at it and announced 'that's what I want on my cake!'. after that it was just a matter of deciding between swimming pool and ocean theme. and since I never before did any fondant decorations that weren't flowers making some see creatures seemed like a lot of fun. lesson to remember - never again put fondant inside a jelly!
cake: triple chocolate cake base with layers of sour cherries and chocolate buttercream covered in cookie crumbs with blue jelly and fondant/chocolate decorations
so here's my sister who also made my logo
and other cakes I made for her:

this is to beautiful to go to waste and at the same time it's a shame to eat it. Such a dilemma </3 beautiful idea, beautiful execution
